“This scholarship is important to me because it allows me to continue my post-secondary studies. I’ve always had to deal with a lot of challenging situations in high school, but I’ve stayed driven because I want to accomplish something bigger than myself. Not only is it such an honor but has also been an incredible financial blessing. This will help my mother and I pave the way for my future and career. Thanks to your scholarship I have the ability to pay for college and enroll in a major I am passionate about while being involved with leadership and unbelievable fellowship. Since this scholarship is in memory of Ms. Abbott, it puts a smile on my face because I want to become a math teacher just the same way she was.
